Rainshowers are often brief but can be very strong in French Polynesia. This visit was during the rainy season and the photo was taken shortly after a midday thunderstorm. Mt. Otemanu is the tallest mountain in Bora Bora - and is an ancient, partially sunken volcano surrounded by a calm lagoon.
