I have never tasted such a tasty water in any place within Tamilnadu including Cauvery / upper Bhavani / Kothiyar or even at catchments of river Tamirabarani at Pothigai hills. Kottakudi water has its own features and once the river was called al 'KULIGAR' means river having more pebbles.
This is the only railway line [i.e Bodinayakanur to Madurai] in Tamilnadu that is not converted into Broad gauge. Further Theni district is the one of the districts in Tamilnadu which is NOT directly connected to State capital Chennai by rail. Theni is surrounded by many tourist attraction places like Munnar, Thekkadi, Kodaikanal and Theni is also very important commercial /industrial hub. There should be direct rail link connecting Theni and Chennai via [Theni]-Pewriyakulam-Batlagundu-Dindigul-Trichy-Chennai . There is huge potential of tourist flow if the rail link is considered.
