I travel the length of the Indialantic Boardwalk on my daily walk, and it's the one place on my route where I stop and gaze for a while. When it's cold, the gulls sit on the beach like that more for warmth than anything else. On a rare morning when the air temperature is down near freezing, I've seen the beach covered with odd birds, such as buzzards, which normally avoid water.
