I'm deeply impressed, your photo reinterprets the intensity of Edward Hopper's painting in a new, contemparary expressiveness.

The semi-deserted places are being a back number, nowadays the places are fully deserted. The lonely person is no longer inside the painting, now he's sitting in front of the screen and look at the scene from the outside - he has fully assumed the role of Hoppers's protagonist so that he's a part of the scene.

Best regards, Jörn

I have a little experiment that you can do for yourselves.

Using the mouse wheel, adjust the height of the photo until it completely disappears from view, then slowly bring the image down again.

The effect is a wonderful illusion.

Thanks for your nice feedback Alicia

It looks a bit like a nightmare, you can go down for hours but you're not able to leave the helix - and in the distance Jimi Hendrix is singing "So down and down and down we go ... " It gives me the creeps ;-)

You've made a nice capture with this alternative view of a lighttower. Greetings, Jörn
