Hi, lowcountrybird -- You need to head out of Quito along the "Nono-Milpe" road. The placemark on my photo is within the reserve. The major road visible through the dark green forested area is the Nono-Milpe road. The reserve entrance is at a sharp curve, and is no more than a couple of kilometers beyond the last signs of populated area.
Thank you, cavercrash, you are correct. I have a photo of the information board at the site, titled, "The World of Mexican Free-tailed Bats." There were millions of bat droppings in the area, and on that info board. :-)
I've been through this area many times throughout the year. This valley is awsume to see anytime of the year, but especially in April when the bluebonnets are in bloom. Normally you'll only see a few cars on the Willow City Loop as well as the connected Willow City Click roads, but in April we counted over 100 cars in a 6 mile stretch of this road. It's a great ride on a motorcycle as well.

Thank you, Shawn, for your appreciation. I'm gratified that I could share worthwhile memories. It is a beautiful cemetery, and so peaceful.

I loved the marching flamingos at this zoo - http://ardastra.com/ - note the correct spelling. Thanks for the memories.
