Chester is indeed full of beautiful old buildings, I spent hours looking at them, many from Tudor Periods, I was told.

That is great that you actually got to talk to a cowboy from the ranch and get permission too! They are all very nice people and I'm glad they didn't have a problem with your interest in the place. Yes, I had also heard that it was moved in on a flatbed, but it is very hard to imagine seeing the great size of the place. I'm sorry that you weren't able to get inside, but, like you said, maybe that's better left for a winter day when all of the little critters have gone into hiding. Again, thank you for sharing this fun news with me. I hope that you all enjoyed your visit to Georgia and will look forward to coming back again soon.
