This is where my good friend, Frank Lang lived until he recently died in a car accident. I love you, Frankie.
Thank you for your response. I'll be in Tirano the end of June and will take a look at their activities.
The place where gold was first discovered in Yreka, setting off the second major gold rush in California.
I'm glad I was able to bring back some memories of Yreka for you. I'll be posting more as time permits. We've been here almost 7 years and love it.
When I was growing p in Yreka back in the 60's and 70's the old bottling works was still in business. I can remember peering into the windows and watching the bottles go around the machinery as it was filled with seven up and other types of soda.
This particular establishment has been around for as long as I can remember. My mother used to deal cards in the poker room back in the seventies. The front of the bar used to look like an actual log cabin until someone decided to modernize it.
The james house used to be an apartment complex back in the late 60's early seventies. My sister, mother, and I lived in one of the upper apartments back in the late sixties for a short time.
It's a neat bridge in a nice setting. I plan on heading back there as spring begins to unfurl.
