A Represa de Ituparanga faz limites com os Municipios de Ibiuna, Sao Roque, Mairinque, Aluminio Votorantim, Piedade e suas nascentes mais distantes estao nos Municipios de Vargem Grande Paulista e Cotia. A area desses Minicipios formam uma APA (Area de proteção Ambiental) APA de Ituparanga. protegida por lei estadual. O Barramento foi construido pela Ligth Power Company, para geração de energia eletrica, hoje o permissionario de uso é a CBA Companhia Brasileira de Aluminio). As aguas do lago tem vital importancia para o abastecimento de agua aos Municipios do entorno do lago. Os Rios Sorocamirim, Sorocabuçu do Una, sao os rios que abstecem o reservatorio de Ituparananga em Ibiuna.

Very nice photo. But your Google Earth is placemark is on the Rayburn House Office Building, not the National Gallery. The Gallery is on Constitution Ave, NW between 4th and 7th Streets.
