Born in Nakuru, but a citizen of New Zealand, and have lived in Durban, South Africa since 1972. My brother Michael and my Mom have emigrated back to Auckland, NZ. My Dad worked for the KCC for many years until we left Kenya in 1972. I went to Lugard School in Nakuru, and then Greenacres School in Limuru. After moving to South Africa, I went to Danville Girls High. I am married with 4 daughters and 4 grand-children.

I was in first intake too. Headmaster was Ralph Dean. We met again and he was the MC at my wedding in S Africa.

Greetings,zw22wz

There is a natural pool that remains at the beach during low tide in the shape of "Map of Africa" complete with Madagascar. Veeery nice .....

The stage looking a bit worse for wear. The hall where we'd get the 'sit down' and 'stand up' chords on the piano, sing onward christian soldiers and listen to book redings on Friday mornings. Leading proceedings were head teachers Mrs Small and Mr Ernie Dunford. Any relation to the really good Kenyan swimmer?

Many thanks Csaba.

The benches are still the same u are correct.....i remember we were told they were used in the colonial error even be4 i was born

I joined the school in 1995 and left in 2002 but everything was good....all these madness came when primary education became free in kenya and thus most of the teachers left....too bad it used to be the good performing school in the province those daiz!!!!!!!

Yes the gardens are the best part of the school

Beautiful - I'm a sucker for landscapes & sunrises/sets :)

We used to go to Diani Beach as a kid. Next door to the Jadini Hotel. Took my wife, 2 daughters, son-in-law + 2 grand kids there in January. Still beautiful but lots of touts that pester tourists on the beach.
