This Vickers Viscount was the first airliner I remember flying. We took a family vacation to Miami in 1973 and flew it. If "Anliker" has more photos of this era in San Salvador, I'd love to see them.
This is the replica of Mormon Station, the town name that predated "Genoa." Mormons settled here for a few years to supply the people who were emigrating via covered wagons [Conestoga wagons] to California and were preparing to travel over the Sierra Nevada [mountains] to descend on the California side to Sacramento and other places.
