Hello Ann. St Patrick's church is very near but has no email address to my knowledge. The address is: The Presbytery, 1 Sedgefield Terrace, Bradford, BD1 2RU. Telephone: (UK) 01274 724941. What year are you looking at for your family tree. I lived in the area from 1954-1961 after which most of the houses were demolished. A whole community was destroyed! The Washington was certainly a popular pub in the 50's. The area is steeped in Irish Catholic history and Devanny sound Irish to me. Good Luck! Maria

i love this , just glad i dont have to stay to close it at night, ive always wanted to go into the old part. some on i used to know told me he worked there and aparantly the blue ladie was left in a cupboard like cubbywhole to die, bcue she was inlove witha man of poorness, when council cleaned it her the mark of her body fluid came back, but them i heard there were tunnels underneath were she and her lover used to meet, they burried them alive or sumet and know she haunts bcus she want to find her lover. i know there is a little burial ground for the dogs, i can remember fluff and fluffy or sumet like dat any ways. inside i spoke to a woman who said, that they could not heat the big dinning hall up on the left ground floor, when they took out this one chair they was able to heat the room up. wierd or what.
