Allt som återstår av "Fribergs koja" Friberg byggde denna långt inne i skogen och bosatte sig där. Han byggde t.o.m. en cykelväg (2 km) genom oländig terräng fram till Vakerns by. Man kan fortfarande se resterna av vägen. Ett jättejobb av en riktig kraftkarl.
The ferry in Högsäter by the river Byälven has a historty since 1710 when the Swedish King Karl XII and his troops were on their way to make war in Norway. In 1924 the first motorized cable ferry was installed. The present ferry is from 1955. At first there was an electric motor to operate the ferry. It was changed to a Diesel engine in year 1963.
This doesn´t seem to be in Sweden but still it is. The Thai Pavilion was built in 1997 as a memorial for the the Thai king Chulalongkorn who visited Sweden and Ragunda Community in 1897. The magnificent building is sited in the middle of the village Utanede in Ragunda Kommun.
This is the south end for Värmlandsnäs in Säffle Community. The lake is "Vänern", the greatest lake in Sweden. Area:5648 sq.km,length overall: 140 km, overall width 75 km, max. depth 106 m.
Islands 22000.
Thank you for the comment. I am a lucky person that have a summer house close to this lake. It is a nice and quiet place where I use to listen to the silence.
