I understand that fires destroyed the line more than once. This bridge happens to be the one that survived of the several large ones between Nayook and Noojee. The line was later cut back to Nayook. All before my time, but I've read up on the line's history.

As I recall, I had come down from Matlock in the afternoon and reached Jamieson after dark, where I camped. It would have been almost impossible for me to be in Woods Point soon after Sunrise.
