Maybe if they had not lowered the overflow of the wetlands and Oxbow Creek by 5 feet when they installed storm sewers in 2003 it wouldn't have been quite so dry.

This is the red barn where Ron Lund kept his horses, I believe there were about 4-5 of them. This photo is taken looking N onto the Hennepin County bike trail system (roughly where you see the powerline poll). The trail system still runs from the Coon Rapids Dam west over the Jefferson Highway Bridge (to give you an idea). June 1990

Ron is the man who owned the barn (sometimes minus the n) next door. This is in the front yard of our house in the summer of 1990. Both Ron and Casey (my father) are no longer with us, but it was a riot while they were. Honestly, and without much doubt, probablly the last true cowboys to ever ride in Brooklyn Park.
