There is a rail switch at Windy Point (elevation 12,130 feet). On your right, you'll see a small stone structure that was used by workers during construction and maintenance trips. On your left, you'll see the former pump house that was used to supply water to the former steam engines.

Love that place
This photo was taken before Hurricane Ike. After the hurricane the pier and the pilings were swept away. Today nothing of the pier remains.
It is a unique and beautiful city.
