Wor-Wic is a state-approved two-year college, which provides a supportive learning environment that promotes student success through excellence in instruction, programs and services that meet the diverse needs and exceed the expectations of the residents of Maryland’s Lower Shore.
After many years of operating in rented spaces, construction on the campus was started in 1993, and the campus officially opened in the fall of 1994. In 1996, the college purchased 29 additional acres of land adjoining the campus to the south of the existing property, bringing the total college-owned acreage to more than 200.
Wor-Wic is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Wor-Wic's nursing programs are approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing. The radiologic technology program is nationally accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
