I have not see such a color of grass around Emerald Lakes (I have not seen the grass around at all). It makes similar strange color effects as around Champange pool at Wai-o-tapu!
NZ grass is sometimes reddish, but this colour tone... WOW!
Another candidate for 100% Pure NZ? ;-)

Photo 12723651, The Swirl, is a great photo. I'm thinking that its not in Namibia. Perhaps a little further west and north. :-) Maybe closer to 37.0N, 112.0W
