While living in Rio 1955 I sat at this spot long before it became an art school. My friend and I toured the park without anyone knowing what it contained. At the time it was overgrown with so much of secret garden. Years later my mother went to school there and painted this building in oils with a palette knife. This painting was never sold and it sits above my sofa with memories of that spot that only I and my friend knew about 1955. Needless to say my mother was shocked when I told her the story of long ago and the very spot she stood to paint I sat and looked in wonder of the past history of this building. I do genealogy today and am intrigued by the past and what history I was told of this place and it's opulent past.
