The Cathedral was severely damaged in the Christchurch earthquakes of 2010-2011. The three domes have all been destroyed or deconstructed and there was other major structural damage. Discussion is ongoing as to whether it can be partially restored.

Nearly all of the taller buildings (apart from the one in the centre of the picture) have now been demolished as a result of damage suffered in the earthquakes of 2010 - 2011. The building I took this photo from has also been demolished.

Built c.1400 as The Cutler's Guildhall, but later used as a town hall.

This shot brought back memories of the time we landed at Pitt Island. The pilot had to buzz the airstrip twice to chase the sheep off it before we could land!
