The Morganton-Lenior Airport (Now called Foothills Regional) is located about 5 miles north of Morganton, NC and is for public use. Runway 3/21 is 5500 x 75 feet and was re-surfaced in 2006 along with the ramp area. A taxiway was added shortly thereafter from the ramp to runway 21. The photo aircraft is a 1940 Fairchild 24.
