Brian Dickerson's conversations

This is the view from the road through Angolares. Simple village, gracious people, and beautiful water access. The teens who commandeered my afternoon had me bring them here to play.

These are probably the same fellows who ran through the hotel restaurant the night before and grabbed a sugar packet off my table. They sat in the rafters while they had their candy snack and then ran off.

After a couple dozen trips to the country, I've been adopted by local folks and included in family activities. Perhaps the most gracious culture I've encountered. They've taught me more than years in school, to say the least.

Taken at the Guruguru market center about 80 km out from Mombasa beyond Mariakani; location is imprecise.

Tengo uno en mi escritorio en la oficina. :)

Sé que cada uno de estos preciosos niños y sus familias. Son un tesoro.

Mi esposa hizo el viaje conmigo en abril pasado; ella se enamoró de ellos también.

Genial me encantaaaaa!!!!!

Beautiful composition. Nicely done.

With the crosswalk markings still visible, pedestrians clearly have the right of way. In other locations, you have to remember whether there used to be a stop sign or whatever. In a country so small, everybody knows... except you.

My wife took this picture during the January storms in Maryland. Somehow, it appeared on the Ellen Degeneres show and on the Regis Philbin morning show. Our part of MD was clobbered for days by nice fluffy snow.
