A native Texan from Cherokee County, I enjoy traveling around the community taking photos and meeting interesting folks. Comments are greatly appreciated.
Hey Jack, Me and a buddy of mine are working for Mr. Triplett right now bringing the corner door of the café area back to original specs. Have the entryway and double doors installed and I will probably start the finish coat of paint in the next couple of days. Circle by and check it out if you are town. Me and another guy are also in the process of replacing the rotten center beam and floor joist under the first floor. probably about half done with that.
Have not been here but plan on making the trip. Have been to the Museum in Waco but didn't have time that Saturday to head on to Dublin before closing time. Keep on shooting! :-)
Yes, as a matter of fact I know exactly where it sits. You can take FM-23 south of Rusk towards the junction of FM-23 and TX-294 and Fastrill will be on your right just before the river. All that remains is a historical marker.

Nice picture! Maydelle is a nice place to stop for a BBQ sandwich or cup of coffee.
