Tiene que ser muy bonito el parque

The trail-bed clearly needs to be brushed out using power hedge-trimmers and pole saws.

It is difficult to discern, but the trail-bed is located in the lower-center of the photograph, curving to the left. The overhead branch at upper right leans into the trail. This was taken to showcase that routine trail maintenance is needed for trail safety.

Notice the temporary yellow flagging in preparation for the Tevis Cup held eleven days later on July 23, 2016.

Much better footing on this portion of the trail. Great to see the saplings pushing their way up.

Sure is different looking from when I rode this part of the trail during the Tevis in 2010 and 2012. A stark reminder of how quickly our forests can be changed...

Ahh, yes. I remember all those rocks on this part of the trail...

This important trail junction needs permanent signage. A carsonite post with the Western States Trail marking is recommended. Both equestrians and runners need to perceive the Western States Trail junction that leads to Pucker Point.

Thanks for placing the dead branches, etc on old mining road so none of the Tevis riders or runners take a wrong turn.

Good also to see all the sapling firs.
