I like your pictures, especially the one of Mt Carmel Presbyterian Church south of Easley just off 135. There is quite a story behind it. If you are interested. . .

I'm enjoying browsing your photos of Greenville, SC. I lived there from the late 1950's to the early 1960's, when my father was Rector of The Church of the Redeemer, off August Road near the Mauldin Road split. (34.804251 -82.377115) Keep up the great work!

Very much so. I started about a decade ago with a disposal camera taking pictures of churches. Architectural photography is what I enjoy. Thanks for the comment.

Coker College is in Hartsville. This is Old Cokesbury College building, built in 1854. It was the Masonic Female College of South Carolina, then the Cokesbury Conference School, then a public school. Finally it reverted to the Methodist conference in 1954.

I tend to specialize in historical buildings and locations (although I also do some portrait work). Check out the Historical Marker Database (www.hmdb.com). I'm a contributing editor and over the past year, I've been documenting markers (over 400 so far) from Abbeville, Anderson, Edgefield, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, Newberry, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg, Saluda, and Union counties. Type in Hopewell Church in the search box and you'll get the marker.

Thanks. I hate to see this old house in such shape. I'm not sure who ownes it anymore but someone was living in a tent in one of the downstairs rooms. They had run a line from a nearby power pole into the house.
