I'm not sure which property it was, but I lived along the Quambie-Kerang Rd in Pine View for the first year of my life. My dad share-farmed with Pat Collins. This was almost 40 years ago. So, hearing this history is interesting. And so is seeing these photos. But mostly, it's so sad to see that these old farms and their buildings are often just left to slowly, but surely, disintegrate. Mostly because of the economy. Partly because the younger generation aren't interested in taking over the farm - and they move to the city.

This is my parent's property. Up the other end of the river flat is a beautiful stone house and outbuildings built by my father. All the stone was local stone.

Yep that it is but the sheep would mooch around my tent Im sure and disturb my reverie :-)

Sorrento Pier. = ferry terminus to/from Queenscliff, fishing charters, bay cruise incl. seal watching charters. Safe for young kiddies swimming beach and picnic lawn to the north side (left in photo). Sorrento township 200m up the hill.
