I'm glad to see this placed in the right location. The official Angkor Complex map has Kapilavastu marked almost half a mile from its actual spot. I spent about 4 hours trekking through the jungle trying to find it based on this lousy map, only to discover its true spot later with satellite images online. Next time I visit, I will be sure to find these ruins.
This location should be put in the list of World Heritage site by UNESCO. It should belong to all of us who are living on the earth today include Cambodia and Thai. Like today in US or Canada, the Red Indian have special rights to move where they want to live in their original land. Thai should be aware that their ancestor is the Khmer. Please open all border for Khmer.
Merci pour ce magnifique voyage en Asie.
Dear Khun Ah-Pong,
I thank you for your message, quite a bit late but I had to be away from my hobby for some time.
I live in Klong Duea, about marker 62 km on the same road to Toscana. In a few days I'm gonna upload a photo of my residence on the map.
nice stuff, just found this site will be putting up a few of mine as well. :)
Thank you for the marvelous research work you did.
I'm now widely using your picture to continue my visit of the Khmer empire. Next trip: September. Cambodianplaces with Banteay Chhmar, Battambang and maybe Sambor Prei Kuk.
Next time I go visit this temple, never know that there are khmer temples near kanchanaburi.
