An extremely amateur photographer (most of my photos are taken with my Android phone). I love to capture the great outdoors. I'll take hikes across the landscape and up mountains for the sole purpose of seeing what I can see and finding a view in which to photograph...thus, Panoramio/Google Earth is a perfect venue for the majority of photos I shoot.

The actual number of views is irrelevant to me. Like yourself I'm sceptical as to their reliabilty anyway. I just like to know they are being viewed by someone.
And of course , just because someone has viewed a photo that's no indication that they thought it was good.
