Under the horizon you can view the strip of land (Lido) that divides the venetian lagoon from the Adriatic see; Venice (60 km far away) is on the left and the large white shape is a cruise ship moored at the passengers terminal; under Venice the towns of Treviso and Conegliano. Over Venice, on the horizon line, the outline of the power plant sited on the Po delta (about 120 km far away).

L'unico straordinario esempio di bouganvillea che riesce a vivere (e prosperare) all'aperto in questa zona climatica, presso l'Istituto Campostrini, nonostante le condizioni sfavorevoli. E' sopravvissuta persino al rigidissimo inverno del 1985 sopportando una decina di giorni di neve e ghiaccio con temperature sempre al di sotto dello zero.
