Charm of a fruiting palm
Wind blown Jacaranda flowers, the last of the season...
Imposing fronts of buildings, in Mary Street, Gympie (note the kangaroo and emu, sitting atop the building on the left).
Old queenslander overlooking the flood plain of the Mary River....a remnant of the past, right next to the busy Bruce Highway, but for the moment..'At peace again'....
Rusting in neglect
Lichen and knobbly grave surround
See the light shining down on me
Building blocks and sky - Gympie hospital
Bathed in burnished brassy light, the cemetery glows. The regimented heastones, tight in neatly tended rows. Waxy flowers, paper thin and concrete painted pots, adorn the resting places in these regulation plots. Marble, warmly heat retentive, glimmers in the golden haze, to radiate in cool of night the memory of scorching days....
Backsides! Reef Street, Gympie.
Wishing.......just wishing.......that I could stay all day, Freed from the confines of this van, In liberated play...... And just supposing I was dozin', digging up the ground, Marvelling at the dinosaurs and skeletons I'd found.... If only I was sat up there, beside my daddy's seat, I do believe......my happiness.....would truly be complete.......
Marble immobilised in the evening light..
The back of beyond......
Helicopter pad, Gympie hospital
Kangaroos are up ahead, upon the sign it shows....bodies angled, leaping swiftly, born in bullet mode! Thuds resounding, sonic bounding, movements freely flow....as kangaroos, in ones and twos....spring across the road!!
Textures and tones in the afternoon sunight, O'connell Street, Gympie.
Wonderfully green and warm, so neatly clipped, the hedges, angular in shape and form, especially at the edges!...
"Me see meself !", my Thommy says, All squeezed into my space, His breathing warm upon the lens, And soft upon my face... "Me see meself, me eyes is big! "You photograph of me?" "Mummy, hurry, turn around, ME wanna have a SEE!"
Contrasting textures on a grave
The longest avenue of all
View along Alfred Street, Gympie
Spinning psychedelically, my niece and sister, carefully captured, or I might have missed her
