Camped here one night on a family vacation back in the mid 1960's. My brother and I swam in this pool. The door on the right was the men's side, left was women's. There were a couple of young women also swiming there. They were beautiful and voluptuous in a way that I had never seen before. They really filled out their bikinis! Didn't have girls like that back home. I realized later that they were probaly "working girls" or dancers from Las Vegas. On a "business" trip or a weekend holiday? I'll never know. Anyway, the water was warm and clean and I found an almost new pack of cigarettes in the bathroom. I was experimenting with smoking then (mid-teens) so that was a memorable treat.
Actually, this road is in a wildlife refuge - it's right next to the Nellis range and strays into the restricted area a little bit, but it is not specifically a military road.
Good pic and historical note.
