A wonderfull picture, but you have the name wrong. This specific mountain farm area is callen Berildstølen and is still in use today as a cabin area. The enclosed area (it is fenced in) is cut yearly by the inhabitants and the area around is used as mountain/alpine summer pasture for local cattle. Bøstølen is a bit further up the valley. The houses, or rather cabins, on this picture are the living units. On the backside (towards the water) each cabin has an old barn house where the cattle slept and was milked. Only a few of these remain standing. Under most of the cabins are a basement of sort used to store milk for production. The stone setting in the middle of the field is an old fireplace used for making cheeze of various types. Near the water is a building used as both a hay storage (as the area here used to be cut for hey) and a boat house. The lake is an excellent fishing spot, but the fishing rights are owned by the land owners.
As a note: this is the youngest of the mountain farms in the area. It was moved here from 2 earlier locations that were both destroyed by avalanches and rock slides during the 1800's. Bøstølen, as a comparison, has been where it is today since mid 1700's after they had to move the cabins onto high ground (also because of avalanches).
Inolvidable.

Conoces a alguien?
Besos.
