The Park Hotel is the synonym for the rich architectural heritage and history, as the age of the house can be traced from the Middle Ages on. The building lies on Roman foundations and the stone wall from the 17th century, but it was first recorded in writing in the famous Charter of Ptuj in the year 1513. Two great fires (1684, 1705) severely damaged the town, and all the houses had to be renovated or rebuilt, but retained their initial building design, and in most cases also their external walls. The bourgeois house was also recorded in the first census of houses in Ptuj in 1785. Today's appearance of the building that has been renovated and changed many times dates back to the 19th century. The profound respect for the architectural heritage and history led the owners to rearrange the house in 2007 into a modern and romantic 4-star family hotel.
