Thanks Steve the cloud made it very effective and it was just starting to burn off. Thanks for your YS-L glad you liked it.Best wishes Alan.
Thank you my dear Peter,
I'm happy eventually we have managed to be on the top of Cnicht!!
It was a great experience and a great pleasure for me!
A wonderful picture which I like very much, especially for including the old pier bases.
There is so much written about the collapse of the original bridge, in terms of the poor design, poor construction, and poor maintenance, that it is mandatory reading for every engineering student. It is nice of you to give the Wikipedia article for starters.
This was a nice surprise in your gallery, and of course a view which I recognise. Such nice clouds, which are hiding the top of Snowdon, our biggest mountain. I like it!
Thank you so much for your visit and nice comments here. It is much appreciated.
The view is looking to the west. The town of Porthmadog and the sea are in the distance. The mountain of Cnicht is just in front of the sun, and after climbing it we made a big circular walk back to here, just as the sun started to set. he village if Croesor is not so far from here.
My Dear Füsun,
Thank you so much for your visit, nice comments, and awards. It is much appreciated.
Unfortunately there was nothing to see in the yard when we got here, so I thought I would put the camera equipment to good use after having taken the effort to carry it all. Then I saw this tower way off in the distance..
Thank you for your visit and nice comments here too.
I have some pictures taken during the journey on this freight train, and I will get round to posting them soon!
Thank you so much for your visit and wonderful imagination here. Perhaps we can imagine a bacon sandwich and big cup of tea at the same time!
Thank you for your nice comments here. Perhaps not the best photo ever taken, but certainly one to commemorate an achievement!
Hello Alan great info here thank you on this DMU set up :))
i am pleased you "like" this shot also from the lower angle at the bridge
best wishes ... steve
