Thank you Peter i am pleased you like this shot of the old bridge .. yes it was built to cross a fork in the river Welland but as you may have noticed from the Map the river now bypasses the village

Hello Peter yes a great object indeed and no doubt an heavy one .. you are of course right with the padlocks they are a Victorian addition and the reason for three locks is so it could only be opened with both church wardens and the rector presant as each held just one key
