My dear Füsun,
Thank you so much for the wonderful words, thoughts, and awards! It has made me really happy!
I always thing that railway stations are emotive places, especially at night time.. It reminds me of Highley at night. Who knows why people are there, who they are waiting for, and the excitement in their hearts.
Maybe two lovers will meet here... Who knows!
Thank you so much for visiting, and the awards. This came from a warm summer evening, and a walk from the hotel down to the lake to admire the sunset. I guess I liked the contrast between the nice red sky, and the very industrial looking electricity poles..
Thank you so much my dear Füsun,
This railway was unusual, in they turn the locomotive so that it always runs chimney first. It was a little early for visitors, but a very nice lady let me in when I explained that I was a driver on the Ffestiniog..
Another place well worth a visit!
I am sure that you would have enjoyed the palace too. It was enormous!
Pictures inside were difficult because it was so crowded, but I have a lot of pictures of the gardens still to go through, and eventually post.
Very impressive night shot! Like. Best wishes, Jessie
thank you Antonio i am pleased you have found this rare photo and "like" it
best wishes ... steve

Peterprivatebox It went on for three days Peter, with the Sunday being cancelled. So Saturday was the best day and we had friends down to share our balcony and views. So yes it was great fun ~ All the very best to you ~ nick
Hello Peter quite a few of the shops in this popular and busy village had got into the spirit with decorating windows .. the phone number pre dates the change in around 1995 when most local four digit codes were turned into five digits by adding a "1" after the first "0" .. so the area code here now is 01526 which is actually the same as Ruskington though we are a good 10/15 miles away
best wishes .. steve
Yes Peter it certainly sounded to run well and there were tow or three running around the village from one location to another for a while
