Hi Richard McL Thanks it was just a chance shot being in the right place at the right time.Best wishes Alan.
Hi Steve and Richard,
A big thank you to both of you for your visits, kind words, and awards. They have made me really happy this evening.
This shot dates back to when I took the motorbike over to Switzerland in 2013. I don't know why I didn't upload it at the time.
It is a very big waterfall, with a few more tiers up out of shot, but I couldn't get a reasonable day time shot because it as raining!
Hi Nick and Steve,
Thank you so much for your interest here, and the link. Probably not the best picture ever taken of a nightingale, but they are very hard to find. Sure, they sing, but the forest is full of bird song, and locating the particular one is difficult. In this case I couldn't see it. I took a photo of the tree, and examined it carefully, finally cropping a chunk away to leave the bird in the middle!
Again I thank you for your visit and thoughtful comments. You are right, it was early in the morning, and cold! The sun had just risen, as had a few other folks who had come here from far and wide to see the Nightingales.
At least I got some pictures of the lake to take home. Nightingales were very hard to see!
Peter, very nice photograph with a human interest touch, nice color and detail, friendship and regards from California, Richard. L&F

Thank you so much for your appreciation of the scene. I am pleased that you have enjoyed it, even though 10 seconds later and the sun would have been shining on it.
At least I know where to come back to for another sunny afternoon!
Thanks for your kind comments! Much appreciated! Greetings from Brasil
Thank you so much for your great interest in this lady and her yellow dress. I am very happy that you have enjoyed seeing her.
There was a photographer, and a couple of models doing a photo shoot around the castle grounds, for what purpose I don't know, but I don't think it was anything to do with promoting the castle. (Maybe some fashion magazine?)
Anyway, this lady was kind enough to oblige!
Thank you again Peter i am pleased you are enjoying the scenic Autumn colours of the Moors here and the distance shot of S.N.G as it headed to Levisham .. the going away shot somehow managed to take in a Spotter :))
best wishes .. steve
