Sorry to be pedantic but this is Winlaton Mill not Rowlands Gill. It's a lake built in the old Winlaton Mill Ironworks, it couldn't be more specific. 1.5 miles is 1.5 miles! We had to put up with the Cokeworks for 70 years and our ancient village was demolished in the name of progress. At least lets have our name now.

Its not the North groyne lighthouse but the Tynemouth Lighthouse, River Tyne North Pier.
