Next time you see the movie look at the tree its not this one...too many low hanging branches and it was in a middle of a field with no other trees nearby not to mention there wa no road all around it....I'm talking about the tree that Jenny and Forrest played in and the one she was burried under.....I met the owner of the property where it was filmed...its on a plantation in the marsh...it took me a month of research to find the real one, I spoke to many people in the film and they guided me to the plantation...where I met the owner and he gave me permission to ask my wife to marry me there....it can be found with research....oak alley is at the same spot and so is the site where the house stood and Jenny's house in the movie.
