Most a Dead Lake is filled with dead trees and stumps from the logging days of the past. A mill, I believe used to be here at the lake. Full of Bass - the osprey make it there home now. The lake Sports a small dock - Restroom and limited parking. Peacefull place to catch and release( I would hope ) a few and watch the local birds, vist varied trails, and admire the wildflower vegitation in spring.

Osprey creating nest- rebuilding nest destroyed from last years storm on. Nest located on a dead redwood on shore of Dead Lake Launching and Fishing Facility Crescent City CAlifornia. Part of teh California State Parks System.
