Hello! I'm Karl, and I live with my fiance Donna just outside of Gettysburg, PA. I enjoy taking pictures of our battlefield here, and all over Gettysburg and the surrounding areas. It's a beautiful place to live. I also greatly enjoy studying the history of the Civil War, and especially of the Battle of Gettysburg. I have been a frequent visitor to this area for many years before moving here a few years ago. I hope you all enjoy looking at my pictures, and I hope they spark an interest in you to go out and visit Gettysburg and some of the lesser-known battlefields and National Parks all over the United States.

I've stayed at the Carlton. The staff was great, the room was comfortable, the price was right. I do plan on going back and staying at the Carlton again soon.

This was General Buford's headquarters after the retreat from Gettysburg during the battle of Funkstown in July 1863.
