A 30m swathe was cut through old adobe housing to provide this ancient town with a throughway more suited to 1970's traffic needs. Ce metry (30m) is pronounced 'Cemetery', hence the jocular 'dead-end' allusion in the English translation of Meisam's 2009 comment.
