one must love path finding. We've read some about that Lewis & Clark trail and how they explored that. Exciting. Driving that is so far from their experience.

The "wide spot in the road" place with memories. Signs. Texaco's red star. Have not seen one in a decade or probably since absorbed by Chevron which has also vanished from our area in the East. "Drive-In" with "Inside seating" also a thing of the past here along with even the old skeletons of their cousins, drive-in movies. I wish we had at least one of each as living "museums" for the grandkids. Of course those are all more mysterious to them than "phone booths"—the few remaining now being photo objects.
