It does appear to be very unstable... I think that the weight of the traction motors etc gives a low centre of gravity. Google Creech Tramway and prepare to be amazed at the work of the volunteers. I will get round to giving titles and locations to the recent pictures.
Kind regards. Bob
Washington has quite a few murals. Building owners are even paying street artists to put them on. This one that you have seen is an example. My grandson just discovered the fish and was taken by the image. This and this is actually done by the owner on his alley museum, The Fridge. It has been a while since I was near this one. Adams Morgan is somewhat "famous" for several with this one being well known and almost symbolic of the area. The D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities finances many. Marilyn is on Salon Roi and that story is in the New York Times. Neighborhood Nomad has a web page, Murals of Washington (guess which face tops the list). Yeah, Brexit UK deeply upset me, still does.
Have not seen one in a decade or probably since absorbed by Chevron which has
also vanished from our area in the East
...at this very place I'm not sure if it is more a reminiscence to former times that are already gone. Lots of History here - with lots of dust in the windows.
Though both Doris and were not clear that we'd have a view in the near future at that time: that red light "starship" in the lower right is part of the burger shop of our hosts we got on our way back home :)
We've got a stay there for two nights to see that Hywatha Trail.
mysterious to them than "phone booths"
Did you know this very place in Vegas? Think this could be the base of those places :)
Sidewalk dining is beginning to spread to Manassas. The population around the little old town has exploded between the strip mall desert arms of the local highways and beyond.

Nice old station. Almost fairy tale architecture.

Far down at the end is the gate into the barracks. The buildings to the left are officer's quarters.
Every now and then one spots these with nice color displays. This is one of the more colorful I've seen lately.

There are a few "obscure objects" around here as well, though they do not seem to come and go as that one.
Thank you.
