Typical drop from Farol area to lakeside. The town of Coqueiro Seco is seen across the lake. The most interesting thing other than view in this photo is in the top right. What the device on the roof might be is a mystery. It does not appear to turn as a weather vane. It is too small to be an effective wind generator. Enlarged it has "Caca 3" written on the tail. Art?

After a record setter for December. The Washington region has had larger snows, usually in January through early March.

Over and done. :-(

From now we 'll have to booze inside. And wait for New years Eve. North-German Kohlfahrt! And Bremen Carnaval! :-)

Good holiydays, Cinza!

It's perfect Glühwein-weather here. Snow and more than minus 12° Celsius. :-)

Now that is a run I always wanted to make. Never even got close.

Never passed the Magellan Strait? This is a pity ... ;-(

Guess I am just an old guy talking about the good ole days. In my day the trick was real if there was no treat. Porch furniture would be overturned, outside water faucets turned on, eggs thrown at the house--in some places real damage done. Then it became "nice" with the little troops of kids just going through the ritual hoping for a good haul in the neighborhood.

It has been a while since I was in Europe around the season. I hope it has not changed too much toward what I see here. It seems most of the community things have vanished in favor of "pre Christmas sale event" and buying frenzy even in these difficult economic times.
