OK, from H's prehistoric view of peeling trees I came to your page looking for the autumn view of those trees that you mentioned....came across your close-up of the 'Tawny Frogmouth', and that led me here! OMG, I can't believe no one has commented on this one, not even a spammer!!! (In spite of the hassles they cause, they do seem to have a knack for bringing long hidden gems to the light of day.)
How CUUUTE that the cockatoo grooms the little animatronic-looking owls!! And of course they're so adorable on their own. How could NONE of us have commented???

Marbiz - when you were in Franconia Notch did the tour stop at the place along the highway where one used to be able to see the profile? I thought they'd put a display there, but maybe it's still just in the planning stages. It really was such a shame it fell. I'd slow down and gaze up at him whenever I'd drive that bit of highway. It was a remarkable face.
