I was very sceptical too, but when I saw this documentation (maybe you should watch it too. Unfortunately I couldn't find it on YouTube; only parts of) I had to say this cannot be only a fake. There were some really good proofs of the existence of living without consuming food (Inedia). Especially the explanation sounds quite plausible: when we eat vegetables we also eat the collected and stored light in this vegetable (photosynthesis ?) which is the real energy. So, the people who don't need to eat just don't need to make the 'detour' via the food. They can extract the energy directly from the light. Well, why not? :)
Well, I just imagined if this would be possible for everybody, or almost everybody, this would be veery bad news for the whole food industry! So, nobody in this business or similar business, is interested to make 'light food' public! ;-)
