This is where I l post photos of parts of the UK,mainly of the East Midlands of England where I live and work. There are some historic and occasionally important structures. In amongst the Churches, pubs, other interesting buildings and landscapes for GE there is the occasional different photograph. Others can be found at.... ♫Russ Hamer on flickr... I have a flooring shop in Derby... Carpet Square... you are welcome to visit. In fact you could run it whilst I go out and take advantage of the light I am missing stuck there!!!

Thank you picsonthemove for your kind vote!

A very Happy New Year to you too!

All the best, Graeme

The ground drops away substantially here making it difficult to include the apse in frame.

Hi Itallica,
many thanks:)))))))))))) A very peaceful and healthy Happy New Year Cheers from Bangkok pivatana

Been in a couple of times. Its a strange and slightly off-putting experience.

Good to see this building put to use after being shut down for several years. I would like to know what happened to the "Normanton Strand" road plaque that, prior to renovation, was affixed to the wall here just above the blue doors to the right of the picture. Who has it? Is it going to be put back?

This stone, around a meter long, is embedded in the tarmac adjacent the Manor House. (Car wheel left in pic as size comparison and to draw attention to the inconsiderate parking of some people!) It is, allegedly, a fragment of an ancient standing stone in Long Clawson.

Live quite close but hadn't visited before. Fascinating church and "attached" hall. A touch quirky, More Info
