Duly altered from Archenblae on all photos though the file names need altering too... must have typed original file in the dark then cut and pasted several times! Thank you for you input, much valued, it was a lovely place to visit.

I know I should not show interiors on GE but this is exceptional. This is the west end gallery of this peculiar Gothic church. It has a fireplace!!! Her you also see two lots of chairs held together with a beam of timber. We wondered if that was a later addition and have no way of checking but the chairs were adorned with the same design as found on the college aligned pews in the nave. Carpet's seen better days.

Its possible the owners of this private residence might be annoyed that I draw attention to their pond. It is, however, an ancient spring. I am sure the fish appreciate that.
On the other hand they may well (sic) be proud. Its been flowing for thousands of years.

This ancient church with its distinctive and unusual saddle back spire is now a private residence. The tower itself, I have discovered, is under the protection of The Churches Conservation Trust

Ancient marker stones such as this are so easily forgotten. This one was rediscovered when I was but an embryo and is now protected. Wyfordby Stone. It is easy to walk past.

Look at the rare (not blocked up north side) Devil's door. Also in sunlight to the far right is the remains of an ancient cross.
