My folks crash landed in this approximate location January 23, 1972. They survived and their airplane was helicoptered out. Any chance of using this photo for a story I'm writing?
Been in the same spot. 2002. My second trip up. I spent 15 days near Timber Lake. My pilot came for me 2 days early due to the record fires that summer
Really? I was hiking near the valley (north of the highway) a few years earlier and there was a huge forest fire in the region, and I was hiking through burnt trees along the trail.

Thanks. How was the terrain between Arctic Village and the place where this photo was taken? Was it quite bushy and swampy near the river?

I'm not sure if this is where I should respond, but I use Matthew Brown's autostitch program, a free demo at:

I am planning to go to Warner pass on a bicycle. Is it hard? Any tips?
