This is a portrait of St. Vincent DePaul. It was done in 1986 by Jean Pierre Yvaral. Can you believe it, itin aluminum, no paint. the portrait is at the site of the original mother hose of the Congregation of the Mission, the order St. Vincent founded.

It is said that this old, tiny church is the oldest in Bucharest, built by Bucur the Shepard around 1400 (Bucur is the legendary founder of the town). However there are real evidences that the church presented in this picture was re-built around 1700, so we can only guess that here was the place where Bucur founded Bucuresti.
